Privacy Policy

Who we are

PANGEAS (pangeas.org) is operated by Pierre Zah as a sole proprietorship, based in Austin, Texas. There is no separate incorporated entity yet — this policy applies to Pierre Zah individually, doing business as PANGEAS, and will be updated if that changes.

What we collect

• Free living guide: the email address and 5-digit zip code you submit to generate a guide.
• Founding membership: your email address, selected plan, and billing details — billing details are handled entirely by Stripe (see below); we never see or store your card number.
• Site analytics: aggregate, cookieless page-view data via Vercel Analytics. We don't use tracking cookies or build individual visitor profiles from this data.

How we use it

• To generate and email your zip-code-personalized living guide.
• To process and manage your founding membership subscription.
• To send you membership-related email (welcome, billing, roadmap updates).
• To understand aggregate site usage and improve PANGEAS.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your email or zip code for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party services to run PANGEAS. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

• Stripe — payment processing for founding memberships.
• Supabase — database storage for signups, guides, and membership records.
• Resend — delivery of guide and membership emails.
• Anthropic — generates the text content of your zip-code living guide from your zip code (no other personal data is sent).
• Vercel — hosting and cookieless analytics.
• Plethoras — an internal ledger shared across Pierre Zah's other ventures, used only to record that a completed founding membership purchase happened (email, plan, and payment amount), for cross-venture bookkeeping. It is not used for marketing.

How long we keep it

Generated guides are cached by zip code for up to a year so we're not regenerating the same region's content repeatedly. Signup and membership records are kept while your membership is active and for a reasonable period after (for support and financial record-keeping), unless you ask us to delete yours sooner.

Your choices

You can cancel a founding membership at any time (see the Terms of Service for how). To request a copy or deletion of your personal data, email privacy@pangeas.org. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

PANGEAS isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of PANGEAS after a change means you accept the update.
